What is Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH)? Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH) is an enlargement of the prostate. BPH is a non-cancerous condition in which prostate cells grow it to squeeze the urethra. This may result in difficult, urgent, and / or frequent urination. This condition is common and has been estimated to affect 50% of men over the age of sixty (60).
